International Observation: US Cotton Export Data Shows Contract Volume Decreases And Shipment Continues To Recover

According to the USDA report, from December 17 to December 23, 2021, the net contracted volume of Upland Cotton in the United States will be 43600 tons in 2021 / 22, 21% less than the previous week and 40% lower than the average value of the previous four weeks. The main buyers are China (15700 tons), Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam. Japan cancelled part of the contract.

In 2022 / 23, the contracted volume of net export of Upland Cotton in the United States is 5534 tons, the buyer is Pakistan, and China cancels 159 tons.

In 2021 / 22, the U.S. upland cotton freight volume is 36800 tons, 24% higher than the previous week and 45% higher than the average value of the previous four weeks, mainly to China (10300 tons), Vietnam, Pakistan, Turkey and Mexico.

In 2021 / 22, the net contracted volume of Pima cotton in the United States was 1610 tons, an increase of 9% over the previous week and an increase of 37% over the average value of the previous four weeks. The main buyers were China (975 tons), India, Thailand and South Korea.

In 2021 / 22, the United States exports 1588 tons of Pima cotton, an increase of 55% over the previous week and an increase of 16% over the average value of the previous four weeks. The destinations are China (499 tons), Honduras, India and Peru.
