Vietnam Strengthens The Field Investigation And Production Base To Prevent Fraud In Goods Origin.

During the meeting with the Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and industry, the director general of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Administration of the Ministry of industry and Commerce said that the Ministry of import and export affairs recently sent documents to the General Administration of market for information about the origin of goods and the certificate of origin of the fake plateau. Many partner countries that signed FTA with Vietnam reflect the situation of fraud in origin (including the United States). Under the background of Sino US trade war, the origin fraud will affect Vietnamese goods. In particular, it has often been exported to other markets by means of Vietnamese origin certificate.

To prevent fraudulent practices in the plateau, Pan Wenzheng, director of the import and Export Bureau of the Ministry of industry and commerce, said (Phan Van Chinh) that the Ministry of industry and Commerce often exchanged views with the certification units issued by various geographical regions, and warned to strengthen the management and supervision of the issuance of certificates of origin in the plateau area, with special attention to products with high risk of fraud, such as solar cells, automobile tires, pistachio nuts, shrimp, aluminum products, steel and synthetic wood products. The import and Export Bureau also strengthens the work of site investigation on the production base, and suggests that enterprises should cooperate with the power and responsibility units to avoid affecting the industry.

Tran Thi Thu Huong, director of the trade and cultural inspection and verification office of VCCI, said that the prevention of fraud in the plateau area must involve the relevant departments and enterprises. VCCI instructs the issuing groups to strengthen inspection and supervision of export products, while paying attention to the newly established enterprises to conduct on-site investigation of the enterprises that have first applied for certification of producing areas. In addition, information on the newly established enterprises of the Foreign Investment Bureau of the investment planning department and the information provided by the Ministry of Commerce and industry, such as the list of specific goods by the European Union and the United States to investigate the origin of goods, also play a very important role in preventing measures.
