At the end of this month, the National Silk Museum will have a long-awaited annual exhibition, "the world's looms and weaving art".

A week ago, the reporter has introduced a slide hook multi heald loom that will be unveiled at the exhibition. It has been excavated from the Han Tomb of the old official hill in Chengdu. It has successfully copied the national treasure class "five stars out of orient China brocade". It is a well deserved "star loom".

In May 30th, the China Silk Museum's preparations for the long annual exhibition - "the magic machine - the world loom and weaving art" exhibition will finally unveil the mystery. In order to greet the looms of 50 from all over the world, the National Silk pavilion has produced four exhibition halls, including the Silk Road Hall, the weaving hall, the fashion hall temporary exhibition hall and the silver halls.

Zhao Feng, curator of the China Silk Museum, "we even sent multiple small teams to India, Indonesia and Thailand.

Zhao Feng, director of the National Silk Museum, who returned from the Indonesian investigation, told reporters yesterday that at least 20 of the more than 50 looms were from overseas.

"Our curatorial team has gone to several countries, and some looms have been very difficult to collect.

For example, a loom is a means of livelihood for the local grandmother. Of course, she does not want to take it out. Later, after our hard work and hard work, the other side finally promised to do the same thing again.

"

The world's loom and weaving art exhibition is the first exhibition in China to display abundant traditional looms and weaving technology under different cultures all over the world.

In addition to the loom, the word "Ji" is also witty and clever.

Zhao Feng explains that the exhibition wants to reflect technological innovation in a vast geographical area and examine the weaving practice in the context of local customs and traditions.

The China Pavilion shows the looms and models excavated in recent years to illustrate the weaving techniques in ancient China.

For example, the restoration of the Han Dynasty jacquard machine in the old official hill of Chengdu, was selected as the tomb of the Han Dynasty cemetery in Tianhui Town, Chengdu, the 2013 largest archaeological discoveries discovered in the ten year in China.

This jacquard model is the only jacquard model in the world archaeological discoveries, and the only jacquard weaving workshop model, which fills the gap between China's and the world's history of science and technology and textile history, and shows that China's ancient silk production technology and weaving technology are highly developed.

Another important exhibit is the pedal loom, which is an important chapter in the history of ancient looms, that is, the mechanical openings controlled by pedals are used to replace the hand heald pieces or manually pick and open the openings, which greatly improves the production efficiency.

Eurasian Pavilion is a loom that displays a variety of mechanical structures and jacquard looms in Europe and Asia in accordance with geographical areas.

Looms from Vietnam, Thailand, Kampuchea, Laos and Indonesia highlighted changes in the waist conveyor and frame looms from the Indochina Peninsula.

As for the Nordic part, the exhibition hall will display an ancient heavy hammer loom and Modern Jacquard looms.

In the sixth Century B.C., this loom was used for weaving.

The jacquard loom invented in France in 1804, improved the jacquard technology by punching pattern, and brought the French silk industry to its peak.

Cards store information in binary code, making it the foundation of modern computer systems.

"The weaving machine used by Hangzhou Jinsheng is the jacquard loom from France, which can weave all kinds of patterns.

"Zhao Feng explained.

There are also American and African pavilions, showing waist machines from Peru, Garner's ribbon looms and Madagascar looms.

Seemingly simple structure, but can weave complex patterns.

The reporter took a look at the first wave of the exhibition. In addition to the story weaving loom, there were many rare looms that were shipped back from all over the world.

In the Indonesia loom exhibition area, the reporter found a rare "Brown loom". The textile technology it used was very rare, but it was on the verge of vanishing.

One of the curators, Sandra, told reporters that the technology used in the loom was basically in a place called Sumatra in Indonesia, but when they went to investigate, they knew that only one person in the area would be able to do this textile technology.

And because looms are very special, looms will no longer exist when the brocade is finished and the tools are removed, so they are difficult to carry on.

To our delight, through this exhibition of returning home, there are second people who have inherited the rare textile technology.

After the opening of the exhibition, there will be some video materials to show the textile process.

The official said that not only the loom from Indonesia, but also the looms on every continent, they chose the most representative looms.

The exhibition will be officially opened at the National Silk Museum on the 30 th of this month.
