In the first two months of 2011, the import and export of processing trade in Guangdong amounted to US $71 billion 430 million, an increase of 47.4%, accounting for 57% of the total value of imports and exports of Guangdong, of which 43 billion 860 million US dollars were exported, an increase of 47.4%, which is much higher than the overall growth rate of 36.9% of Guangdong's exports during the same period.

In terms of import and export enterprises, the scale and growth rate of foreign investment enterprises' imports and exports continued to lead, and private enterprises maintained rapid growth.

From 1 to February, foreign investment enterprises in Guangdong totaled 76 billion 700 million US dollars, an increase of 41%, ranking the first among the major types of enterprises, accounting for 61.2% of the total value of Guangdong's foreign trade imports and exports in the same period.

Over the same period, private enterprises imported and exported 28 billion 610 million US dollars, an increase of 37%, accounting for 22.8% of the total value of Guangdong's foreign trade.

In terms of import and export trade, from 1 to February, Hongkong, the United States and the European Union remained the top 3 trading partners in Guangdong. In Guangdong and the top 6 trading partners, the growth rate of imports and exports with the EU was the lowest, only 15%, and the growth rate of Taiwan's exports was as high as 78.3%.
