Since late June, the Akesu area, located in the Tarim Basin, is again encountering disastrous weather.

Up to now, the number of affected people has reached 14 thousand and 600.


From the Xinjiang Akesu prefectural Party committee, it has been known that since June 24th, Wensu, Xinhe, Baicheng, Awati, Sha Ya and Akesu have been attacked by severe weather such as heavy rain, hail and gale.

According to local statistics, as of now, the weather process caused a total of 45 thousand and 200 acres of crops and fruits and trees affected.

Among them, the affected area of cotton is 21 thousand and 600 mu.

In addition, some rural roads, livestock roads, channels and bridges were destroyed by floods, and some farmers' houses and courtyard walls were damaged to varying degrees.


After the disaster, the Akesu prefectural Party committee and the administrative department immediately organized manpower to investigate and verify the disaster situation, comfort the affected people, compensate for the nuclear damage and compensate for the disaster, and organize party members and cadres to suit the local conditions and implement the disaster relief and self rescue work scientifically.


At present, disaster relief and self-help work is in progress.


This year, there are frequent disasters in parts of Tarim Basin.

Before the disaster, at the end of May and early June, some counties (cities) in Akesu area were attacked by heavy rainfall, hail and other disaster weather, and the area of crops and fruits was about 700000 mu.
