08 Years, Spain Belt And Other Exports Increased By 2%
According to the Spanish small leather products manufacturers association (ASEFMA) report, exports of Spanish leather and leather products increased by 2% in 2008, and exports exceeded 389 million euros.
France is still the most important exporter of Spanish leather goods, followed by Portugal, Italy, Mexico, Japan and the United Kingdom, the report said.
Leather products exported to France and Portugal increased by 7% and 9% respectively, while the countries with lower market share, such as Italy and Belgium, grew by more than 20%.
Last year, Spain's small leather products import and export trade surplus, export growth is greater than import growth.
