Bengal Spinning Business Asks The Government To Announce The Stimulus Package.
In recent two years, Bengal yarn making enterprises have invested a lot of money, but because of the global economic recession, Bangladesh yarn making enterprises are in trouble. In order to tide over the difficulties, the yarn making enterprises demanded that the government immediately announce the plan to save the yarn making industry.
According to the yarn industry, because of the economic downturn, 30% of the capacity is idle, low price imported yarn has entered the domestic market in large numbers, and the domestic yarn enterprises have been seriously affected. They hope that the government will learn from India, China and Pakistan, and formulate relief programs for the textile industry to help enterprises survive and remain competitive.
They want to raise cash incentives from 5% to 10% and introduce 5% R & D funds, just like Pakistan. They hope that the government will announce some temporary stimulus plans. Once the situation improves, the government can withdraw these plans at any time.
They said that India's yarn making enterprises were encouraged by the government, and they did not need to import cotton and capital intensive machinery. Therefore, Bangladesh enterprises could hardly compete with them. The price of India yarn is 10-15% lower than that of Bangladesh.
