Wu Yuanzhong, a staff member of the city price monitoring center, thinks that the main reason why the price of summer cocoons has dropped sharply is that the quality is not high and the export market is bad.

Wu Yuanzhong said: "because silkworm farming sericulture is not enthusiastic, management is worse than previous years, plus climate and other reasons, the cocoon quality of summer cocoons is poor.

In addition, this year's decline in the efficiency of garment enterprises has a great impact on the silk industry in Jiaxing, and the demand for summer cocoons has decreased, which has affected the price of summer cocoons.
