Garment Production Growth Fell Nearly 8%

According to the latest data from the National Bureau of statistics, the output of most textile products produced by China's textile enterprises above Designated Size continued to grow in the first 7 months, but the growth rate dropped significantly compared with the same period last year.

"From the key products represented by different links in the industry chain, affected by the market pmission mechanism, the cost digestion structure and other factors, the closer to the front of the industrial chain, the faster the output growth rate will fall, while the output growth rate approaching the terminal of the industrial chain is slower."

China Textile Economic information network industry analyst Liu Xin said.

Statistics from the Statistics Center of the China Textile Industry Association show that the chemical fiber products in the first 7 months are affected by the low demand for downstream products, the output has increased by only 4.76%, and the growth rate has dropped by 13.23 percentage points over the same period last year, the lowest growth rate since March 2006.

This year's output growth rate fluctuates faster than that of the chemical fiber products, which has maintained a 10.78% digit two digit growth rate in the first 7 months, but also dropped 9.41 percentage points over the same period last year.

And the key link of the intermediate links of the industrial chain -- the growth rate of cloth production in the first July was slow, but the rate of decline was slower than that of the front end, which dropped 7.15 percentage points.

As a key product in the terminal stage of the industrial chain, the production of clothing has been reduced by 7.92 percentage points due to the influence of market factors which are slowing down by international demand.

Judging from the monthly output in July, the growth rate of most products is negative. This trend is basically the same as that in the same period in 2007, which is mainly affected by seasonal factors of production.

According to statistics from the Statistics Center of the China Textile Industry Association, the growth rate of Fujian's chemical fiber production ranked third in the first 7 months. The growth rate dropped by 21.34 percentage points over the same period last year. The second place in Jiangsu Province, the growth rate dropped 21.95 percentage points. In the 7 months before 2007, the fourth place in Guangdong province dropped two to sixth in the first 7 months of this year, and the growth rate dropped by 11.29 percentage points.

From the production area of these major products, we can see that although the traditional textile provinces in the eastern coastal areas continue to occupy the top few of the output rankings, the growth is weak and the situation is more obvious.
