BASF Sales Increased 2008 In The First Half Of 10%

Recently, reporters learned that in the first half of 2008, BASF's performance was impressive, and sales and (excluding special items) pre tax earnings (EBIT) were strong growth, or 10% and 15% respectively.

In the second quarter and first half of 2008, BASF sales and (excluding special item interest) pre tax earnings (EBIT) also increased, a record high.

In the first half of 2008, BASF's sales amounted to 32 billion 200 million euros, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2007. (excluding special items), pre tax earnings (EBIT) increased by 15% to 4 billion 800 million euros.

In the second quarter, BASF's sales increased by 11% to 16 billion 300 million euros, while the pre tax earnings (excluding EBIT) rose by 19% to 2 billion 400 million euros.
