The output value of high-end textile industry has maintained a growth rate of more than 20% for three consecutive years.

As the youngest prefecture level city in Jiangsu Province, Suqian has maintained a strong momentum of development by adhering to the principle of "strengthening the city through industry and revitalizing the city through industry". Last year, Suqian was the runner up in the growth rate of the province. In particular, it is worth mentioning that the local government will put forward the "three-year action plan for tackling 100 billion level industries" at the end of 2022, and will spend about three years to promote the output value of new energy, high-end textile and green food industries to exceed 100 billion level year by year. Data shows that in 2024, the output value of the city's high-end textile industry will reach 101.82 billion yuan, becoming its second 100 billion yuan industry as scheduled.

Jiangsu Tongkun Hengyang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tongkun Hengyang") has been busy since the construction of a new wharf on Shanhou River in Gubo. Here, the crane unloads the PTA transported from Lianyungang, Nantong and other places, transfers it to the company's poly spinning workshop to process long silk, and then realizes the complete chain from silk to cloth through texturing, weaving and other processes, and then supplies it to downstream clothing and home textile enterprises, some of which are also sold overseas.

With a total investment of 15 billion yuan and an area of 4200 mu, this project is undoubtedly a giant project. It is understood that Tongkun Hengyang will settle in Suqian Shuyang County Lingang Industrial Park by the end of 2020, and will be put into production in July 2022, with a production automation rate of 95%. It is understood that the company achieved an invoiced sales of 11.3 billion yuan last year, becoming an important support for Suqian's high-end textile industry to break through 100 billion yuan.

"As each production line has been built and put into operation, the company's capacity is still being released, the advantages of the whole industrial chain are gradually highlighted, and now there are new business growth points." The Tongkun Hengyang Printing and Dyeing Green Island project, which was trial produced in October last year, is one of the new growth points in Zhang Yuqin's mouth, and also an important chain extension project of the local high-end textile industry. The annual printing and dyeing fabric production capacity of the project is about 700 million meters, and the invoiced sales of the project reached 4 million yuan in the year of trial production.

"Printing and dyeing is an indispensable part of the high-end textile industry chain, which has high requirements for pollution control. In the past, many enterprises sent printing and dyeing to other places for processing, which to some extent restricted the development of the industry." Liu Chuanming, director of the office of Suqian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, introduced the opportunity of Tongkun Hengyang's overall industrial chain layout, The local government has assisted enterprises in applying for the construction of the printing and dyeing green island project, reduced the cost of pollution control through the centralized construction of public environmental protection infrastructure, and promoted the green development of the printing and dyeing industry in the city. At present, six enterprises on the chain have been attracted to settle down.

With the completion and operation of the printing and dyeing green island project, together with a number of textile and clothing enterprises such as Bosideng, Qianrengang, Chenfeng Clothing, Hongliu Textile, and a number of high-quality enterprises such as Jianlu wool textile, Susi silk, Shenlong home textile, which are locally cultivated, Suqian's high-end textile industry has formed a "textile equipment fiber spinning (spinning) weaving dyeing finishing clothing home textile" The whole industry chain. Up to now, Suqian has nearly 2000 textile enterprises in total, of which the textile enterprises above designated size account for 20.7% of the city's scale enterprises.

RMB 61.72 billion in 2022, RMB 80.55 billion in 2023, and RMB 101.82 billion in 2024, with an annual growth rate of more than 20%. This is the growth curve of Suqian's high-end textile industry in the past three years. In Liu Chuanming's view, this is because Suqian has seized the opportunity of the transformation of textile and clothing industry since 2010, and has taken on the opportunity of industrial transfer of domestic chemical fiber giants.

When we went to Shenghong's Jiangsu Ruibang Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ruibang Technology"), we saw that the plastic bottle after screening and processing was cut into the size of the nail cap, and became the raw material for the production of polyester filaments after wire drawing, silk blending and other processes. It is understood that its renewable polyester fiber production line has an annual capacity of 500000 tons, can consume more than 30 billion waste plastic bottles, and reduce carbon emissions by nearly 1.2 million tons.

According to Hao Yong, director of Ruibang Science and Technology Office, the recycled polyester fiber produced by the company has become the designated purchase product of more than 30 domestic and foreign clothing and home textile brands, and is also widely used in high-end fields such as aviation.

With the heavy investment of chemical fiber giants such as Shenghong and Tongkun, Suqian's high-end textile industry has accelerated. It is understood that since 2022, Suqian has signed 181 high-end textile projects of more than 100 million yuan, with an agreed investment of 155.37 billion yuan, accounting for 13.1% and 12.9% respectively, ensuring the introduction of more than 50 textile and clothing projects every year.

At the same time, Suqian has formed a benign development trend of "dislocation competition", forming three textile and clothing industry clusters in Shuyang County, Siyang County and Sucheng District. Among them, Shuyang County has built the country's first intelligent knitting industrial park, and has a number of champion singles enterprises in subdivisions; Siyang County has gathered more than 630 textile enterprises and built a relatively complete industrial chain; Sucheng District has formed an industrial system with Hengli Industrial Park, Jianlu Textile Industrial Park and Caimao Science Industry and Trade City as the textile and clothing industrial base.

"Our high-end textile industry is divided into two industrial chains of chemical fiber and clothing and home textile, which are linked by municipal leaders. At present, there are 12 textile and clothing projects with an investment of more than 5 billion yuan put into production and under construction in the city, with a total investment of 90 billion yuan. The industry has sufficient potential for development."
